Day 111 & 112: Better Days

Yesterday and today has gone much better. Still had a few struggles yesterday but managed to stay under 1400 calories. Today was a lot smoother and I was under 1300. Win win! ;)

Day 110 - Worst Day Yet!

 Yesterday was my worst calorie day to date, on an on day, since I started this plan. I had just under 2000 calories. Went back to some bad habits that I'm trying to nip in the butt today and get back on track. I don't want to end up self sabotaging all my hard work! 

I am not 100% sure what was going on in my head yesterday. I do think it was me weighing in yesterday morning. Clearly my issues run deep for it to effect me so much. Probably years of failure and disappointed while trying to lose weight have created these triggers. The key is working through them and not allowing them to occur or stopping the behavior sooner then later so I don't end up failing over and over again. 

I'm really trying hard to work on my issues with eating and understand them better so I can work through them and hopefully get them to stop or at least know how to halt them early. 

Not happy with yesterday, but I am going to move forward from here and try not to blow it this week!

Having A Tough Day

Today has been a struggle so far. Weighing in today was a huge mistake and I seem to want to just eat. I am 95% sure that is the cause. Clearly making myself wait and weigh in like I have been does help as I always seem to allow the scale to play with my head! So lesson learned! I've had 766 calories so far today as I had a larger lunch. I am going to really work hard the rest of the day to keep my calories below my daily goal of 1200-1500 calories a day! I figured writing this post may help. Onward...



Day 109 - Took A Sneak Peek

 I know I said I wouldn't weigh myself but it has been awhile since I had, so I took a sneak peek and I was at 245 this morning. So still up quite a bit from 241.2, but I am hopeful a drop is imminent! This number keeps playing in my head, so it is clear that weighing in early is not a good idea and next time I will stick to my plan and wait! But I am going to take this information in stride and believe in the process and hope for a good number on Tuesday! 

I have been very good and following my plan to a T all week! Four more days to keep working before my official weigh in on Tuesday! If anything I hope to have no gain. If I do end up with one,  I hope it is small! 

Now if I could only predict the future, that would really help! LOL!

Day 106-108: Back From Vacation & Back On Track!

I have done well since I have returned from vacation! Monday - Wednesday has gone really well and I have been able to get back to my eating plan pretty easily! This is good news because my motivation to keep going has not faltered. This plan seems to be easy for me to go back to! It feels really good to find something that has been working so well for me! 

Of course, only time will tell how I did all in all. 5 more days on then I weigh in on Tuesday! Fingers crossed the weigh in goes well! I will just continue to remind myself to be good! ;) 





Day 101-105 - The Rest Of My Vacation!

 The rest of my vacation was great! We relaxed, built Lego (at least Marcus and I did) and binge watched Scorpion, a great crime drama on CBSAllAccess! We also watched a couple of Die Hard movies which inspired us to watch Scorpion as my daughter had seen a few episodes at a friends house! Check it out, it's really good! Ran from 2014-2018. We all love it and am half way through season 2!



I stuck to my eating plan the rest of the week with Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday being my on days. I kept under 1500 calories except for Saturday when I was at 1600. But all in all I think I did pretty darn well considering my normal track record on vacations! 

I didn't end up tracking my calories on my off days as I focused more on having fun with my family rather then obsessing over what I was eating! I didn't keep track during the holidays on my off days either, which I think helps make it a true off day. 

I won't weigh in until next Tuesday. I am going to do my best to stick to my plan and come out of this with no weight gain or a loss! 

All in all, the plan was not hard to stick to, so here's hoping it will work well to help me avoid gaining so much weight this summer! We shall see what the true results are when I weigh in on Tuesday March 2nd!

Day 100: Vacation Day 3 - Stickin' To My Plan

 I ate well today. Did just as I had planned, scrambled eggs for breakfast, salad at Moe's for lunch and a steak and potatoes dinner at Texas Roadhouse! I was at 1295 today! I'm proud of how I did! Tomorrow I will have an off day.

Day 99 - My Off Day, Weigh In & My Son's Birthday

 2/15/21 - So I weighed in again this morning and no change. I am still at 241.2 so a total of 1.4lbs down! I am still happy with that! 


We celebrated my son's birthday today and we went to Koto's Japanese Steakhouse and sat at a Hibachi table! So fun and so delicious!

Happy Valentine's Day!

 I hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day full of love and laughter! I am leaving on vacation today after work and am pretty siked!  This is the last of my 8 days on and I am being extra good all day so I can enjoy a nice Valentine's Day dinner tonight! 

I did end up weighing in this morning a day early just to see where I was at. I was at 241.2! Down another 1.4 pounds from my last weigh in. I do plan on weighing in tomorrow morning on my official day, but wanted to check in just in case my scale has issues tomorrow while at the hotel. I'm just paranoid I guess! LOL! I will try to post a lot while I'm on vacation to track how I do! 




Day 94-97 Movin' Right Along!

 Had a good few days! Gearing up for vacation and I am super excited! 

Hopefully I will have a decent drop come Monday morning!

My Vacation Plan!

With vacation starting officially after work on Sunday I feel I have a strong plan to have a successful week with very little to no weight gain! We are doing a staycation and only going to Williston, VT but a lot of eating out will be involved! The good news is we are usually pretty active with shopping and activities when ever we go on vacation! 

As I explained in my prior post, my first off day will be Monday which is my son's birthday! Then it will be every other day after that with my last off day being the day we come home which is the following Sunday. 

I will stick to my scrambled eggs for breakfast on my on days, most likely a salad for lunch then a normal healthy dinner. I will try to shoot for grilled chicken or steak when eating out on my on days. Along with potatoes and a veggie, that should keep my calories in check for the most part! 

I am going to attempt to track what I'm eating on my off days so I don't over do it. Since I am having an off day every other day there is a bigger chance I could gain if I eat too much. So my goal is to stay under 3500 calories on my off days. 

I am so ready for some rest and relaxation! Just getting away, even if it's just an hour from home, will be good for all of us!





Day 91 - 94 Super Bowl Snacks Avoided!

 I have had a good few days. My calories were a bit high at almost 1600 calories on Sunday but I have my eating back in check. I was at 1401 on Monday, 1317 on Tuesday and 1294 yesterday! I need to work on getting my average under 1300 calories for the week. That seems to be where I get the best results! So I will try to finish the week off strong! 

We had a bunch of snacks around for Super Bowl Sunday but I was good and only had a few chips! So that was a touchdown for me! ;) 

Yesterday was quite the stressful day as I was at my shop by myself, had a room to clean and Valentine's day is just a few days away. But I managed and stayed on track with eating. Now I just need to focus until my next off day which is Monday! Because next week is my vacation, it is making it a bit harder and just like the holidays, the time seems to be dragging! But I am doing well and am determined to stay focused and have a successful week!

Day 81-90 - Wow, Has It Really Been 90 Days!

 I can't believe I have followed this plan now for 90 days! I had a good 8 days on! I weighed in yesterday and was down 1.8 pounds! I am just .04 pounds from reaching a 30 pound loss! Woohoo!


I am also just 2.6 pounds away from hitting the 230's! I am on my way to hitting 2 major milestones and I have to say, it feels good! 

I begin my vacation on 2/14/21. We are staying in Williston, VT for a staycation of sorts. We head up there after work on Sunday! My next off day is 2/15/21 which is my son's birthday. I will then have one day on then one day off throughout that week. My last day off being the day we come home on 2/21/21. Then I will go back to 8 days on and one day off. This is my first vacation that I will be trying the every other day plan. So I will be anxious to see how it works out in the end! 

I am determined to have a good week before I go on vacation! I am supposed to weigh in again on Monday 2/15/21 but we will be in Williston, so the debate now is should I bring my scale or weigh in a day early?? I kind of want to weigh in on 2/15/21, so I may just throw the scale in my car! ;)
