Busy Day Yesterday, But Did Well!

We really enjoyed the Hay Bale Festival on Friday night! We went to Applebee's for dinner and I still managed to be just over 1600 calories on Friday! Steak, mashed potatoes and veggies is what I enjoyed. So goooood!

I had a really busy day yesterday. Saturdays I clean the house, but on top of that I had some friends over for dinner. So between cleaning the house, making chocolate for a couple of hours yesterday at work and then prepping and cooking tacos for 9 people, I had one busy day!

I ate 2000 calories yesterday BUT I burned 3300!! So I figured enjoying a few extra calories yesterday was well deserved. LOL! My goal each week is to have a deficit of 1000 calories per day and 2000 on my fast days. Which would be a total of 9000 calories a week. Since it takes a deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound. I should lose 2 pounds a week! Should is the "key" word, since we all know the body doesn't always cooperate like we want! But I am hopeful bigger drops will be in my future!

Today, so far so good! I did enjoy a Sausage McMuffin this morning at McDonalds. Some may say that it's not healthy. Maybe not, but we do need to allow ourselves to eat the things we enjoy ALONG with eating healthy things. I find it is much easier to stay on my better eating habits if I do allow myself those things. Everything in moderation has always been my mantra.

FINALLY A Drop Comes My Way!!

I had a great fast day yesterday! Did really well and didn't let my weigh in yesterday play with my head enough to screw up my day! I'm proud of myself for that!! It wasn't easy but that was certainly a challenge for me. Now I'm ready to keep going!



I did weigh in this morning since it was the day after my fast day. In hind sight, I should have waited in the first place, but that is the inpatient person in me. LOL! I was down to 208.8 this morning. Which would be a total of 1.1 pounds lost for the week. So I dropped the 1.1 pounds I was up and lost the exact same amount in addition to that. It didn't put me in an awesome mood, but I was happy to be down. I would have liked to be down 2 pounds to be on track for getting to my goal by my birthday. But it is what it is, and I just have to keep moving forward and not give up!

So now I have to keep the motivation going, continue to eat well and stay on track. It's a daily struggle and I find some days more difficult then others. It depends on how busy I am each day. The busier I am the less trouble I get into when it comes to eating! The slow weight loss does not help, but I have to appreciate any drop and realize it is just another step forward to my goal!

We are going to Killington after work to see the "Hay Bale Festival". So we will go out to eat. I will be sure to make healthy choices and not let outings get the best of me! I am looking forward to seeing what creative Hay Bale sculptures they have come up with this year! Then onto the weekend I go! Here's to a great weekend!

Why Does It Have To Be An Uphill Battle????

So my day has not started out great today. I decided to weigh myself again this morning to see if my body has finally decided to let go of this weight. Yes, I know, I should have waited. But I have been doing so well, I just needed to check in.

Well I was not pleased at all. I was up .9 pounds!!



I just don't get what is going on! I HAVE to be retaining water or something. Today is a fast day and I am even more determined to stay on track today. I've got to. After all it's just a number right! The reason I started this blog was to have a place to journal my in's and out's of my weight loss journey. We certainly all know that this is not an easy process and days like today certainly remind me of that.

But in the past I would let it get to me and would end up screwing up my diet. Not today my friends!! I am going to just soldier on and keep doing what I am doing. This weight is going to drop off sooner or later gosh darnit! It's not like I haven't been trying.

If anything I've been feeling really good and proud of myself for doing as well as I have. If anything, this has all been worth it for that. I feel good, I've been told I look great, so things are good. I just need to keep all of this in perspective! Sometimes hard to do, I know! But I can't give up and I HAVE to keep trying.

I've just got to keep my chin up, believe in the process and the results will come!

Not The News I Wanted....But!

Well I went to weigh in this morning and was up .2 pounds!



I was puzzled because I really have had a great week! I had a fantastic fast day yesterday and was under 1600 calories again on Sunday! But I am determined not to let this play with my head and I am just going to soldier on. Today was my cheat day and I had about 2200 calories thanks to that peanut butter reeses pieces cookie that was calling me. LOL! But all in all, not a bad "cheat day". I am hopeful that a drop will come by Friday!

Did Well Yesterday!

I've continued to have a great couple of days. Friday I had under 1600 calories for the day which was great! I am definitely getting my calories back in check! Yesterday at our open house/trade show I did wonderful! I got samples to go and ate only a few samples while I was there. I figure I only had about 300 calories in samples. Which is fantastic!

I had under 2000 calories yesterday which is awesome considering I ate out twice yesterday! I started out with a bit of pineapple for breakfast. We stopped at Moe's Southwest Grill (many of you know, one of my favorite places) BEFORE the open house and had a Art Vandalay, which is a bean and rice burrito (no meat) with all the fixens! By eating before we attended the open house, we were not hungry and sampled less!



We then enjoyed a nice dinner at Red Lobster as Brad and I had no kids, so it was a date day of sorts. I had the Wood Fire Grilled Peppercorn Steak and Grilled Shrimp! It came with mashed potatoes and a large bunch of broccoli! Before dinner I did enjoy a house salad with a teaspoon, yes a teaspoon, of thousand island dressing! I also had to have 2, yes 2, cheddar cheese biscuits! They are so awesome and one of my all time favorite things and I wasn't about to pass them up! LOL!

All in all a great day! Today, so far so good! ;)

Down again! I love being a loser! :D

Ok, so I couldn't wait! Ha Ha! I weighed in this morning and have dropped about another pound to 209.9! Woohoo! Each pound lost is one more pound closer to my goal of 199! I'm only 4.5 pounds away to the lowest weight I've been this year and I am under 210 again. I feel good, because EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!



Now I just need to keep up my great motivation I have right now. I did well this morning and had a nice light breakfast. Fresh pineapple! Yum! I have an all day event to attend tomorrow as I will be going to a local distributors "Open House" down in Clifton Park, NY. I don't plan on trying a lot of samples as most of the companies I am already familiar with. But I will plan accordingly to try a few things BUT not over do it. I will enjoy a nice lunch out with my hubby as we don't get a Saturday fun day together every day! LOL! Then I will shoot for a nice light dinner. I will try to come on here and post how I did at the end of the day!

I Think I'm In The Zone Again!

I had my doctor apt. on Tuesday and before hand I did weigh in at home. My weight had not changed, but I was ok with that as I just weighed in on Friday. My apt. went well. My GOOD cholesterol was now at 46!! The highest it has EVER been since the doctors have been checking it. I was so excited. All my other blood work came back great. My doctor was very encouraging and told me to keep doing what I was doing.

I was down 5lbs since I had last seen her one year ago. Not a lot, but since I saw her last year I had climbed all the way up to the 220's. So I was happy with where I am at. It's better then being up, right? ;)

I have a pretty BIG goal in mind right now, but hey, go big or go home, right? Hee Hee! I want to try to get to 199 by my 45th birthday on October 23rd! I have been trying to get to that number for too long now, dammit! It's about time I get there. So I am challenging myself to FINALLY just do it! (Insert Nike logo here) ;)

So far so good! I had a great day yesterday. Stayed well under 2000 calories and today I had a great fast day. So now I'm on to tackling the weekend! I will try not to weigh myself again until Tuesday. But if I do before that I will keep you posted.

Now that summer is over and the kids are settled into school, I am hoping to post more often. Especially for those of you that loyally read my blog. You know who you are and I want you to know, I really appreciate it! It's nice to know that people are out there enjoying it and that I have people going through all my successes and failures with me! :) You can't have success without failure, that's just the way it is. But for every failure their are even more successes!

Down another 1.8 Pounds!

Well I weighed in this morning and I am down another 1.8 Pounds! That leaves me at 210.8! My hope is to be under 210 for my doctor appt Tuesday!!

I will try my best to have a good weekend and drop this blasted summer weight off!!

Saturday Weigh In

I weighed in Saturday morning at 212.5 lbs. So I am down 3.5 pounds so far. I am slowly working my way back to 205.5! I have my annual doctor appointment on Tuesday so I really want to work hard this week to drop another pound or two before the visit. It would be nice if I could get back down to 205.5 by the end of the month.

I did have a good fast day last Friday! My weekend went fairly well and I tracked everything I've eatin' every day. I've been slightly over 2000 calories on my non fast days so I am still working on keeping that number under 2000. It's so hard not to snack in the evenings. Ugh! But I will get there. I am hopeful this week will be a good one! Stay tuned....

Had A Great Fast Day Today!

Had another very successful fast day today! Yay! I feel like I am getting back on track. I pretty much ate pretty well on my cheat day yesterday.  I had 2800 calories and burned over 2900. Which is my goal on Tuesdays. To stay under what I burn for that day. Tomorrow I am going to watch what I eat and try to stay below 2000 calories for the day. Then I will fast again on Friday!

It feels good to get back on track and move forward to getting the weight I gained off and finally getting under the 200 mark. It will happen! Stay tuned....

Easing Back Onto The Saddle!

I have been slowly easing back into a better routine with regards to my eating habits. I had one successful fast day last Friday so that is a good start considering I've had trouble with my fast days for the last couple of weeks before that. I enjoyed the labor day weekend but tried not to over indulge. I plan to fast this week on Wednesday and Friday. Then I will weigh in again on Saturday morning to give you all an update! Hopefully my weight will drop a bit!
