I'm Back & Trying My Best To Get Back On Track!!

It's been a really tough summer and fall. I tried getting back on track last May and ended up having a very stressful summer. My mom began to have hallucinations. So bad that I finally decided it was best for her to move closer to my sister who has the time to spend with her each and every day. She started to improve with some medication and the transition to moving to NY with  my sister. But just before Thanksgiving she had a really bad week and ended up in the hospital and was finally diagnosed with vascular dementia. She is now recovering in nursing care and we hope that her new medications can help manage her dementia.

I would never wish anyone to have to witness someone they love start to lose their mental abilities. It's the hardest thing I have ever had to go through. So much so I ended up with irregular heart beats called PVC's just before the move. I think it was mainly from stress but I have also cut back on the caffeine with is an contributing factor. Now that my mom is settled and in a safe place I feel ready to get back on track.

I gained quite a bit of wait and was up to 230.4 pounds on November 11th. :( It's been tough. On top of everything else I think I may be pre-menopausal! When it rains it poors! I went to the doctors this week to confirm that. I do think that this may be why I'm having difficulty losing weight.

The good news is even after Thanksgiving I have been able to lose at least 1 pound a week. As of today, I am at 225.3 Yay! I've continually dropped since 11/11. This is the best I have done in awhile so I am hopeful this is a sign for things to come!

So that is why I have returned to my blog. I feel it is the right time and I am ready to start taking care of me once again! I will try my best to continue to post regularly!

Things Are Getting Better!

I am down 2.2 pounds from my weigh in 2 weeks ago. I was hoping to be back to 205 but I'll take it! Down is always better then up!

I have been doing MUCH better in the snacking department, especially at work! So I am going to keep on my course and hope I can get back to ONEderland soon. With my feet, it may take me longer to get there then I planned, but if I can at least get back into ONEderland by my first vacation, I will be happy.

I really want to get through this summer without such a big gain like last year. I really want to focus on eating better when we travel. I think that is my big problem. It's a free for all when we are away. I just need to make better choices! I am revving up to get my mind in a better place when it comes to eating while away. All I need to do is make better choices. I don't have to have the ribs when I enjoy the southwest salad just as much! Right?! I will get there, I just need to change my mindset about eating when I am on vacation!!

Having Trouble Getting Back On Track!

I've been having trouble getting back on track! I had my kids week off from school over a week ago and then this past weekend I had my Spring Scrapbook Retreat!

But I have no events or anything coming up until my first summer vacation in June! So now I'm going to try to kick butt and get back on track! I've got to get that determination back!!

I'm Back!

It has been since early May 2015 since I last posted! Life has been really busy at the shop and with family. Right now I am sitting at 204.6. I was up to over 210 at one point. My summer did not go well when it comes to my weight loss goals. I gained over 30 pounds by early this year! But the good news is I have dropped a few pounds.

I did hit 199 again in February but then went on vacation and my weight zipped up to 214! Now I am trying to get refocused and try to get back to the 180's. Ultimately, I would love to be in the 170's or even the 160's.

My goal is to really try harder to get through summer with out a gain. A loss would be even more awesome! Right now I am focusing on getting my steps in every day and will begin strength training soon. I think that will help me get this weight to drop a bit better as I get smaller.

I hope to post on here a lot more often and get back on track! So stay tuned!
